Customer feedback at a glance

Editorial summary of 3 customer reviews, reviewed September 30, 2026. These are individual experiences, not independent product tests.

Customers report completing clutch work and finding value in the kit. One describes vague guidance on tool selection, and another says a puller piece required modification for their application.

Questions about the feedback

Do these reviews establish a direct fit for every compressor?

No. One customer reports success on a 1970s GM A6 compressor, while another needed to modify a piece. Confirm the application and instructions before purchase; the latter account is not a recommendation to modify the tool.

MasterCool Tools Rule!

I have never owned a bad Mastercool tool. They are not the cheapest out there, but my time is worth more than saving a few bucks, not to mention the frustration of using poor tools that don't do the job. This kit has all the stuff you need to replace several different compressor clutch models. I used the one for '70s GM products with an A6 compressor and this kit made the job easy and fun. Forget the others, this is the one to get.

Mastercool Clutch Hub Puller Kit

Did the job nicely, had to modify one of the puller pieces to make it work. Overall worked fine!

Good Value

The instructions on which tool to use is a little vague but understandable. I saved a pile of money doing it myself.
